Area info

If you are looking for a genuine Spanish village right on the beach, Torre de la Horadada could be the option for you! Here, older summer cottages in Spanish style are mixed with newly produced homes with a more modern design.

Genuine Spanish village right on the beach
Beautiful surroundings
Midpoint for two popular regions Alicante & Murcia
The village has a very privileged location next to some of the best beaches of the southern Costa Blanca. In summer, the area is full of people and Playa Jesuitas is buzzing with life and activity with the beach bar that works just as well for lunch as for an evening drink.
During the winter months, it's a completely different mood, the calm that prevails gives space for reflection and self-care to the sound of crashing waves. Some places are closing, but enough good restaurants like Cerverceria Torremar are open to serve Mediterranean food to wintering and permanent residents. With high-quality ingredients, tapas are offered here that are hard to find anywhere else.

Torre de la Horadada boasts a beautiful square surrounded by trees and restaurants, as well as a long lovely beach promenade. Thanks to a less hilly environment, the local area is easily accessible both on foot and by bicycle.

Dialprix provides the basic range when it's time to shop for food, but more shops with a good range can be found in Pilar de la Horadada, which is the main municipality only 1.5 km away. It is a fully functioning village all year round with a local fishmonger, charcuterie shop, sports complex with swimming pool and of course several really good restaurants. A market is held every Friday where the Spanish buy all the fruit and vegetables for the coming week.

A few kilometers to the south we also find San Pedro del Pinatar (Murcia) which has at least as much to offer as Pilar de la Horadada and a fantastic nature reserve in addition. Here you can use a completely natural SPA in the form of salt lakes with the healing mud that should work against joint pain and leave the skin looking like new.

Las Higuericas and El Mojón are the southernmost areas of Torre de la Horadada boasting natural sandy beaches, wooden boardwalks and crystal clear waters that offer bathing-friendly temperatures 6 months of the year.
